After missing seven weeks with an injury, Roselli returned to the lineup and didn't waste any time.
Following another winter break here with us at Fivetooltraining Development Center, working closely with owner Gregg Downing weekly, Nick was more then ready heading in his Jr season. Practically sleeping at the facility this winter, Nick hit 2-3 times daily as well as took north of 20 live abs against other collegiate FIVETOOLERS, rarely would you enter the facility and not find Nick doing some kind of baseball activity fuel by his 2024 MLB Draft hopes.
Binghamton University opened up their 2024 season on the road against University of Huston, Nick Roselli opened his season the way he finished his stellar sophomore campaign. He went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBI. Roselli hit .357 with 70 hits and 61 RBI in 2023 and he wasted no time in the 2024 opener, delivering a first-inning hit in his first at-bat.
The next day, Nick showed up early as he often does to get some earl pre-game hitting practice, where he found himself unable to hold the bat with wrist discomfort , after X-rays and mri Roselli was informed that he had suffered a broken Hamate bone. Coming back home Roselli scheduled surgery on feb 28th. Post surgery Roselli went on record ( asking his dad to get his phone out an record him) sill jacked up on anesthesia he made this bold prediction " 1st at bat back , BOMB PIMPING THE **** OUTTA IT."
Fastfoward to April 6th , After missing seven weeks with an injury, Roselli returned to the lineup and didn't waste any time. In the first inning, senior center fielder Tommy Reifler singled to left field and Roselli came to the plate for the first time in 50 days and sent a 2-2 pitch well over the right field wall for a 2-run home run and a quick 2-0 BU lead. The shot, Roselli's second of the season, traveled at 107 MPH and went some 420 feet. Roselli added another RBI in his second at-bat.
Roselli is currently batting .474 in 5 games played with 2 2B and 2 HR, to go along with 5 RBIs.
