Wake Forest baseball's Nick Kurtz was selected by the Oakland Athletics with the fourth overall pick in the first round of the 2024 MLB Draft on Sunday.
Nick Kurtz resides in PA but travels to New York for holidays to see friends and has always turned to fivetool for his home away from home when comes to his baseball development.
Nick is the highest draft pick in fivetool training history.
Tennessee baseball’s Christian Moore was selected by the Los Angeles Angels with the eighth overall pick in the first round of the 2024 MLB Draft on Sunday.
Christian Moore for several years has been apart of the FIVETOOLTRAINING family having a close relationship with Danny Corona one our top trainers and mentors. Along with Gregg Downing , Corona and Downing had the pleasure of coaching , training, was well as rooting CMO on for years.
Moore finished the year as the nation's leader in hits (111) and total bases (236) while also ranking in the top-25 nationally in home runs (3rd – 34), runs (t-8th - 83) and slugging percentage (14th – .797).
Alabama State' Randy Flores was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels Baseball Club in the eighth round of the 2024 Major League Baseball Amateur deft on Monday, July 15, 2024.
Randy is a true success story for all the overlooked and underdog. He batted .338, 159 hits, 119 runs scored, 25 doubles, seven triples, and 20 home runs. Flores drove in 98 runs, stole 68 bases, slugged .549, and had a .421 on-base percentage.
Randy is the type of guy you wish you had 10 of and it’s always a pleasure when he comes into our facility.
Binghamton baseball second baseman Nick Roselli has been selected by the New York Mets in the 2024 Major League Baseball Draft. Roselli was taken in the 11th round Tuesday afternoon and will report to the organization to begin his professional career. He is the first Binghamton second baseman to ever be drafted and is the school's highest position player taken in 34 years.
Roselli hit .349 in three seasons with the Bearcats, including a sizzling .388 mark this spring. In his three-year Binghamton career, Roselli accumulated 153 hits and 104 RBI in 115 starts. Nearly 40 percent of those hits were for extra-bases, including 26 home runs. He elevated his offensive numbers every year, and ranks among Binghamton's all-time top-10 in average (3rd), home runs (4th), on-base percentage (2nd, .442) and slugging (2nd, .608).
Nick has been a staple at fivetool since Covid. He’s work ethic and discipline are unmatched which is why you will rarely not hear someone walk into fivetool and not ask “ hey how’s Nick doing.”
MLB clubs have until August 1 to sign First-Year Player Draft selections.
